Terry Browitt (1941 – 2022) was a well-known international ambassador for the Plastics Industry, particularly through his work with many of the industry’s top associations.
Mr. Browitt worked for Northern Electric in Quebec, performing research and development work on plastic-insulated wire and cables before founding Terinex International Ltd in 1976. Mr. Browitt led the company for 33 years before he retired and remained a director until 2022.
Mr. Browitt served as President of the Society of Plastics Engineers in 2001. Mr. Browitt has acquired numerous awards over his career, including SPE Quebec Section “Man of the Year,” SPE Quebec Section “Company of the Year,” SPE International Distinguished Member, and the CPIA CANPLAST Award. He also played a significant role in the industry, serving on such committees as the SPE Quebec Section president, CPIA Board of Directors, Quebec Plastics Pioneers chairman, and Plastics Pioneers Association Board of Governors.
Mr. Browitt graduated in 1962 from Queen Mary University of London with a degree in physics.
