Code of Conduct Policy

The purpose of the Code of Conduct Policy is to protect the interest of all members, guests, speakers, organizers, staff, and volunteers at events hosted or sponsored by Plastics Hall of Fame, Inc. by prohibiting unprofessional behaviors. This policy is intended to supplement but not replace applicable state or federal laws. This policy covers all Plastics Hall of Fame, Inc. members, guests, organizers, speakers, staff, and volunteers, and all such parties are expected to abide by the following Code of Conduct.

Code of Conduct

Plastics Hall of Fame, Inc. is dedicated to providing a positive and harassment-free event experience for everyone, regardless of age, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, ethnicity, race, religion, or nationality. In any meeting, social gathering, or event, in person or virtual, of the Plastics Hall of Fame, Inc. members, guests, speakers, organizers, consultants, or staff held under the sponsorship of the Plastics Hall of Fame, Inc., or in any the Plastics Hall of Fame document, note, writing, or other communication, there cannot be:

• Demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior or language of any kind, regardless of whether such conduct was intended in a joking manner.
• The use of sexualized language, imagery, inappropriate physical contact, or advances.
• Deliberate intimidate, stalking, or following.
• Sustained disruption, including during talks and presentations.
• Violence, threats of violence, or violent language directed at any person or group.
• Theft or unauthorized removal of property.
• Bullying, including repeated verbal abuse; verbal, non-verbal, or physical conduct of a threatening, intimidating, or humiliating nature.
• Any other illegal activity or forms of harassment not identified above or other activity which could reasonably be considered inappropriate in a professional setting.

Unacceptable behavior will not be tolerated at events hosted or sponsored by Plastics Hall of Fame, Inc. Anyone asked by a Plastics Hall of Fame, Inc. staff member to cease engaging in unacceptable behavior is expected to comply immediately. If a participant engages in unacceptable behavior or fails to comply with expected behavior at any time during the event, Plastics Hall of Fame, Inc. may take any action it deems appropriate, including but not limited to removing the participant from the event.

If you witness or are the victim of unacceptable behavior at an event hosted or sponsored by Plastics Hall of Fame, Inc., notify a Plastics Hall of Fame, Inc. staff member as soon as possible.
