Manfred A. Lupke (1939 – ) has proudly specialized in the corrugated plastic pipe-making machinery business for over four decades. Mr. Lupke founded Corma, Inc. in 1973 after emigrating from Germany. Since then, Mr. Lupke has grown the business to serve customers in 95 countries.
He has registered 848 patents and continues accumulating them, most recently applying for five new patents at 75. Some of the innovations and techniques Mr. Lupke has patented include: a vacuum forming system for corrugated pipe, air cooling of mold blocks, “Super CoolingTM”, a double layer in-line coupling and mold block quick return system”, mold block inserts, and a compact die for large diameter pipe.
In 2007, the Canadian Plastics Trade Association (CPIA) recognized Mr. Lupke as Leader of the Year, and in 2012, he was awarded the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal. For numerous reasons, Mr. Lupke is a notable industry pioneer, but what makes him stand out is his commitment to intellectual property rights worldwide, his respect for his customers, and his dedication to his family and community.
