Eugen Hehl (1930 – 2023) was instrumental in the expansion of the business founded by his father, Arburg GmbH & Co KG, beginning in 1956 with the addition of injection molding machine production to the company’s operations. By 1960, they were already celebrating the sale of their 1,000th machine.
Hehl led the business with the patenting of the ALLROUNDER in the 1960s, and in 1972 with an ALLROUNDER with a mold for injection blow molding that allowed users to achieve up to 10 different working positions on one machine. In 1975, ALLROUNDER H became the world’s first injection molding machine to feature microprocessor control and hydraulic proportional valve technology. In 1984 they were awarded a certificate from the German Government for excellence in vocational training.
