Wyle Royce is an officer/owner and director of Royce Global, a family enterprise currently in its tenth decade of operation. The company specializes in color concentrates, functional additive masterbatch, and liquid color dispersions for plastic processors in the food and cosmetic packaging industries as well as other sectors of the plastics industry.
A strong advocate for the industry and highly active in the mission of trade associations, Royce has served as Chairman of the Plastics Industry Association (PLASTICS) and as Treasurer of the association’s Food Drug and Cosmetic Packaging Materials Committee. He is also a past board member of the Foodservice Packaging Institute (FPI) and Health Beauty American’s Technical Advisory Board. He is past chair of the Color and Additives Compounders Division of the Society of the Plastics Industry (SPI now PLASTICS). Royce is also an active member of the Society of Plastics Engineers (SPE).
Wylie is also an industry author and frequent speaker on subjects relating to plastics in food, drug and cosmetic packaging, sustainability, and the effect of the international business climate on products, particularly packaging products either produced in or imported into the U.S.
In 2018, Royce and his wife Formed the Nancy and Wylie Royce Guiding Star Fund to provide technical education scholarships for students graduating high school who wish to enter the field of plastics manufacturing. The same year, Royce was inducted into the Plastics Pioneers Association.
Royce also holds a U.S. patent for a proprietary method utilizing electron beam medication of resin to create marbleized colorant effects for injection-molded products.
